This 18 hectares tomato greenhouse was built in Two Wells, South Australia by van der Hoeven greenhouse builders. The greenhouse was especially designed to withstand Australian weather conditions and was equipped with the so called pad&fan system. The principle of this pad&fan system is similar to what Tebarint installed for Eurofresh in Arizona USA and is able to lower greenhouses’ inside temperature to 25oC.
The 200m long gables were equipped with exhaust fans which are speed variable controlled (0-100%) by frequency drives.
Under supervision of Tebarint several systems were installed in achieving a high-tech greenhouse and were also provided with a double drip irrigation system (interplanting), A drainwater collection and re-using system, Priva Vialux HP-UV sterilizers and a Priva Integro climate computer.
